WPT Global has announced the boost of its upcoming Summer Festival, increasing the guarantee from $7 million to a record $8 million.

The poker room has also announced that it is giving back to players, with each Preheat Festival champion being awarded a $220 seat in the Summer Festival Championship, which will total over $35,000 in added value.

The Summer Festival also caps a landmark for WPT Global as the biggest online poker series held on the site so far, building from the $4 million GTD Winter Series and building on the recently successful Spring Festival which had $7 million in guaranteed prize money.

The Preheat Festival is available on WPTGlobal.com from July 12-21 with $3 million in guarantees.

This 10-day series features 160 tournaments, with each champion getting a seat for the $220 Summer Festival Main Event.

Highlights of the Preheat Festival include:

$220 Championship, $300,000 Guaranteed - This event kicks off with a starting flight on the first day of the festival, with a dozen flights following to get players through to the final Day 2.
$22 Mini Championship, $80,000 Guaranteed - Following the Championship, this event has numerous starting flights and follows the Best Stack Forward format, which allows players to fire multiple starting flights and build a mountain of chips for Day 2.
$2,100 High Roller PKO, $200,000 Guaranteed - One of the marquee events of Preheat Festival, this event allows players to make money as soon as they knockout players, generating tons of action pre and post flop.

Preheat Festival has a variety of formats throughout the series, including Short Deck and both standard and progressive bounty formats.

Every event in the Summer Festival allows players to win points and scale up the Player of the Year Leaderboard, which is awarding four $12,400 WPT Passports to live World Poker Tour events all across the world, as well as $25,000 in tournament dollars and $25,400 in cash.

In total, there is $250,000 on offer in the Player of the Year leaderboard!

$30,000 Preheat Festival Freeroll

If you play in more than 20 festival events during the Preheat Festival, you will receive a ticket into the $30,000 guaranteed freeroll, which has a host of Summer Festival tickets up for grabs.

Any Preheat Festival champion will also get a seat in the $500,000 guaranteed Summer Festival Championship, giving some extra added juice throughout the entire series.

WPT Global Summer Festival

A week after the Preheat Festival concludes, players can hop straight back into some huge MTT action on WPT Global.
