  • WPT Korea scheduled for November 15-December 1, 2024
The World Poker Tour will return to Landing Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World in November for another exciting WPT Korea event.

The latest WPT Korea tournament series will be hosted as a part of the Jeju Poker Festival.

The festival is scheduled for November 15-December 1 and will be headlined by the KRW 2.5 million buy-in (~US $1,860) WPT Korea Championship, which is scheduled to run November 16-22.

There will be three starting flights for the championship event and a prize pool guarantee of $1.25 million.

"Jeju Island is a sensational location and has become a popular stop on the WPT schedule," said WPT CEO Adam Pliska.

"Thanks to our partners at Landing Casino and Red Dragon who have spearheaded the planning to bring WPT Korea back for a second time this season."

All registered players can enter qualifying events online. If you are yet to register, use the WPT Global promo code NEWBONUS when joining the global poker room to get the biggest available welcome bonus.

November will mark the third WPT Korea event in three years. The most recent tournament occurred March 28-April 2 and attracted more than 1,000 entrants.

Mate Hanusi was the player to conquer the 1,065-entry field, taking home the majority share of the KRW 2.6 billion prize pool.

"Landing Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World is again honored and excited to partner with WPT in hosting the WPT Korea Championship this coming November," said Jenny Lim, Chief Operating Officer at Landing Casino.

"Poker tours in Korea are on a steady increase, and the events held at Jeju Shinhwa World with outstanding partners such as WPT add to the excitement and growth of poker in the region."

Two other championship events highlight the Jeju Poker Festival schedule, the Korea Poker Cup (November 21-26) and Red Dragon Poker Tour (November 26-December 1). Any player reaching the final table of two or more championship events will receive an extra prize, details of which will be announced in early November.
